Bud Anderson is trying to form a league or group of folks that would be interested in playing Pickleball at the Community Hall. A low-impact sport played with a wiffle ball and wooden paddles. Introduced in the 70's. It combines Badminton, ping-pong and tennis. Played a much smaller court 20 x 44 divided in half by a badminton net lowered to ground level. Currently played by over 100 thousand folks in Phx area. Good exercise and games are short scoring to 11 points. Games are played with 2 or 4 players. Maybe two levels of age brackets, younger and older division. Games would be possible scheduled a couple of days each week.
For more info please contact BUD ANDERSON at (602) 327-6765 if you would like to learn and play a fun game while getting some exercise.
